Byju's is most valuable educational technology company of India which provides video lectures for school students as well as aspirants of competitive examinations so that students not only study for writing exam besides they can actually learn the thing with virtual practical examples.
Byju's has shahrukh khan as their brand ambassador and they also have Indian cricket team jersey rights.
Unlike of others startups , byju's is also earnings profits .
How byju's the leaning app started?
Byju's was started by Byju Raveendran in 2008 as a startup for providing concept based lectures in interesting and interactive manner.
Before starting byju's, Byju Raveendran was a engineer in a ship industry. One of his friend once ask help from him for clearing CAT exam then he help his friend and he also appears for CAT and byju got 100 percentile in CAT and his also passed with good percentile.
And then again his friend ask his help and again he got 100 percentile .
Afterwards many students was approaching him and then he decided to left his job and started a startup that will help many students to clear their exam.
Byju's Business model
As in school every students have to learn the lectures or concept in the same manner and same speed despite of their capabilities of learning the concept in slow speed or fast speed. And also in movies and games students get engaged and interact . So to provide this all , they provide videos lectures with movie and game like virtual in which students engaged and understand the concepts and how to apply them with practical examples. And students can download the video .
This helps students to understand the concepts with their speed of learning.
Student has to signup with the platform and pay the requisite course subscription fees to have access to the course content.
The fees varies from courses to courses.
Byju's operates on subscription fees revenue model.
It make money from subscription fees that it charges from students.
Byju's have 3 million paid subscriber which means they are the students which pay subscription fees annually.
Byju's have partnered with Disney and it also acquired US company OSMO for 120$ million and will have a plan to expand their business in US also. And future plans of byju's are to expand their business globally and with various different languages.
Conclusion
Byju's make passive learning of students to active learning with their interactive and engaging videos. As in India there are many students who are preparing for their exam and this number is increasing very year ,which is their targeted sector. And also after food and shelter , generally people spend on education so their targeted sector is very large and will increased definitely.
